Rajon Rondo Rocks Jimmy Kimmel's Scavenger Hunt

Rajon Rondo didn’t get to play in the NBA Finals last night, but he did at least get to compete on the same channel. The Celtics point guard went on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to partake in the talk show host’s Skype Scavenger Hunt segment with the New York Knicks’ Tyson Chandler. Basically, Kimmel sent Rondo and Chandler scurrying around their respective houses (mansions) looking for different items. Here’s the video:

If nothing else, Rondo looked like he had a great time (all that smiling!). Here are a few takeaways:

1) What I would give to go chair shopping with Rajon Rondo.

2) I’ve not read The Other Wes Moore, but Nick Kristof sure seemed to like it. Really, the most impressive part of the segment was how much faster Rondo was able to find a book than Chandler. If there’s one thing Rondo’s big brother Will impressed on me while working on this story about his concierge travel business, it’s that their mom was big on making sure they did their school work. Here’s hoping Rajon starts a book club next year. Forget Oprah. Who among us would not be pumped for the Rajon Rondo book club?

3) I’d like to imagine that the red rotary phone is reserved for emergency conversations with Kevin Garnett. Why Kevin Garnett? I don’t know. I just feel like if any two people on earth should be talking on emergency red rotary phones, it’s Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett.
