MFA Hosts Online Contest, Features Works in Gallery. There’s a first time for everything, and in the MFA’s case, it’s the first time the museum is featuring works from an online contest in its halls. For “Grandstand to Gallery,” 700 people submitted photos of Fenway Park, and six winners were selected for display at the MFA (and over the video board at last night’s Sox game). Exactly How Stupid Are the Knicks for Letting Jeremy Lin Leave?Slate executive editor Josh Levin hands it to the Knicks for their stupidity in letting former Harvard bball player Jeremy Lin head to Houston. “The Knicks prove that no matter how much the league tries to help its least-competent franchises, stupidity always finds a way,” he writes. “New York was smart to pull Lin off the scrap heap, but it took James Dolan’s franchise just a few steps to transform good fortune into the morale-killing eviction of the player who’d revitalized a long-moribund team.” At least we can look at the bright side: New York’s loss is our benefit.
