It's Official-ish: A Great White Bit a Man Off Truro

After reviewing eyewitness descriptions of the dorsal fin and considering the presence of seals and the extent of the injury, shark expert Gregory Skomal concluded that the Truro man, identified as Christopher Myers, was bitten by a great white. “However, only with examination of the injury and direct testimony from the victim will we have 100 percent confirmation,” Skomal said. The last injury from a great white attack in Massachusetts occurred in 1936, according to state officials.  [Cape Cod Times]
