Farmers' Almanac Predicts a Lot of Snow This Winter

The 2012 edition of the Farmers’ Almanac, everyone’s favorite year-long, newsprinty guide to gardening, weather, and astronomy, predicts that this is going to be an awfully snowy winter in New England. “We’re talking about some snow from December 1st to the 3rd, a fairly good storm in the middle of the month, snow three days before Christmas, and maybe snow on Christmas,” says Pete Geiger, editor and far-range weatherman. The Almanac did nail the “above normal temps” of last winter, though.  [CBS]
