Update: Scott Brown Will Attend His Own Debate

Update: That was a brief period of crazy, but Scott Brown is reportedly on his way to the airport, and will be back in Massachusetts in time to debate Elizabeth Warren tonight.

The issue was whether the Democratic leadership might schedule a vote that would require he be in Washington. Noted pugilist (and Democratic Senate Majority Leader) Harry Reid said there would be no more votes, and had this feisty bit to say about the affair: “I’ve been to a few of these rodeos. It is obvious there is a big stall taking place. One of the senators who had a debate tonight doesn’t want to debate. Well, he can’t use the Senate as an excuse. There will be no more votes today.”

Earlier: Somewhat last minute, Senator Scott Brown says he might miss Thursday night’s debate in order to be present in the Senate for several votes, depending on when they are scheduled. “If I can catch a 4:30 plane, I’ll hustle there,” he tells The Globe.
