A BU Mugging Suspect Turned Himself In

A 15 year old suspect in at least two of the recent armed robberies plaguing the Boston University area turned himself in to Brookline Police Thursday, with police saying that surveillance video of the three suspects played  a role. Progress on the robberies should come as great relief to BU where tensions were running ever higher with each incidence of a community member being robbed at gunpoint. The school offered a $10,000 reward to anyone with information, and at a community meeting, black students complained that the reported race of the attackers made them unfair targets of suspicion from their peers. BU Today reported that the suspect in custody is likely the one pictured in a red sweatshirt and Air Jordans. (We’re guessing the distinctive outfit is what brought him down.)
