Election Day Freebies
After being pummeled with campaign ads for months and months, those of us heading to the polls today should find the relief in picking our chosen candidate awfully sweet. Democracy! It tastes so good. Of course, there are some among us who feel like they should get more than the warm, fuzzy satisfaction that comes with political participation in return for casting their ballot. Like this Redditor, for example, who is looking for free stuff:
Does anyone know any places that are giving away free stuff for voting in Boston? I lived in DC in 2008 and Chipotle’s gave out free burritos and Krispy Kreme gave out free donuts for coming in with an “I voted” sticker.
So on behalf of voters (and democracy everywhere,) we’ve assembled a few local freebies. Know more? Hit me up on Twitter or post them below.
The Ben and Jerry’s on Newbury Street and in Harvard Square are giving out free scoops of AmeriCone Dream to voters today.
Happy Election Day Boston! We are scooping up free cones of Americone Dream from 11am-1pm at our Newbury St. and Harvard Sq stores. #vote
