Watch Tuukka Rask's Mesmerizing Save

The Bruins goalie is apparently picking up where Tim Thomas left off.

Over the past few years, Bruins fans got used to eccentric goalie Tim Thomas making uncommonly acrobatic saves. Apparently, Tuukka Rask, Boston’s current starting netminder, is picking up right where his predecessor left off. On Wednesday night, during an overtime loss to the Rangers, he stoned Rick Nash, and then flopped onto his back to stop Marian Gaborik—who had a hat trick in the game—from sweeping the puck into the net.

The best part (or worst, depending on which hockey fan you ask) of the spectacular sequence was listening to NBC Sports announcer Doc Emrick lose his mind on cue. When Rask was on his back, Emrick yelled “RASK, SNOW ANGELS! AND A REMARKABLE PLAY!”

We could watch the replay all day.
