Massachusetts School Districts With the Highest-Paid Teachers. The Boston Business Journal rounds up the average 2012 teacher salary of 327 school districts in Massachusetts. Topping the list is Concord Carlisle with an average salary of $93,712. Boston ranked 19th with an average salary of $81,963.  [Boston Business Journal]

The Herald reports on a string of flash parties, in which party-throwers break in to a vacant house or apartment and spread the word via social media. “[They’re] putting between 150 and 300 kids in an apartment, with no security and sometimes no lights,” the BPD’s John Fitzgerald told the Herald. “That ends up in fights, weapons, and the people who go to these parties know what they’re all about, so they bring some sort of weapon just to protect themselves.”  [Herald]
