Six Boston College seniors were arraigned in court on Wednesday for allegedly vandalizing a Brighton apartment to the tune of an estimated $25,000 in damages.

Charles Howe, Timothy Orr, Arthur Pidoriano, Christian Rockefeller, David Rogers, and Matthew Tolkowsky were all charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime plus willful and malicious destruction of property over $250, for their role in the destruction of a Gerald Road apartment on March 16, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley.

Court reports say that the six students allegedly forced their way into the residence around 11:30 p.m. and proceeded to damage a table, speakers, and punch holes in the walls. Officials say the suspects also “urinated throughout the apartment, and threw eggs, milk, and other food,” before going into the basement of the building and ripping out a gas line connected to a dryer.

After forcefully removing the gas line, it was a call from Pidoriano, one of the suspects, that led police to the group.

“A call placed to National Grid prompted an emergency response from the company, Boston Police, and Boston Fire Department.  That call was traced to a phone belonging to Pidoriano,” prosecutors said in a statement.

The defendants were released on personal recognizance and are expected back in court on May 16. While the case is pending, the alleged suspects were ordered to stay away from the residence and victims as well as refrain from using drugs and alcohol and agree to random screenings.
