Citizens Disconnect: And They Call John Kerry Environmental

With the Citizens Connect app and website, Boston allows its residents to take a picture of a problem, send it to the city along with their precise location, and request help. The site is filled with complaints about trash on the sidewalk, potholes, and dead trees. It also contains the occasional amusement. Welcome to “Citizens Disconnect,” the second in a series wherein we round up our favorite few from the past week:

 Mr. Mayor, Tear Down This Eyesore

Concerned citizen: “How was this Zero Worcester Sq building approved? It’s an ugly behemoth that is in no way in keeping with the historical architecture of the South End. Whose pockets got filled on this deal?”

City response: No response yet. They’re probably busy rolling out the wrecking ball. 

The citizens app connect can help citizens with a lot of problems. Architectural concerns are thus far not one of them.

And They Call John Kerry an Environmentalist

Concerned citizen: “Why do the police who are guarding the Kerry residence sit in their car with the engine running hour after hour? It’s nice and cool out. There’s absolutely no need for air conditioning.”

City response: No response, presumably because they are arranging for Congressional hearings on this matter. 

We bet Kerry was running the A/C in that house of his, too! Scandal!

Boston Has a Graffiti Scrooge

Concerned Citizen: “Graffiti report.” 

City response: “Case Resolved. Graffitti removed.”

Boston will just have a little less love in it. Thanks, you MONSTER!

Concerned Citizen: “Graffiti report.”

City response: “Closed. Case Resolved. Sidewalk power washed completed.” 

This person may always love you. But this patch of sidewalk will not always declare it.

But where will Superman change? 

Concerned Citizen: Phone don’t work they are just used for graffiti. The whole thing needs to be removed

City response: None yet. 

Actually, though, payphones just can’t get that much use these days right?
