Ernest Wallace pled not guilty to a charge of being an accessory after the fact to the murder in court Thursday. Wallace, who was arrested in Florida after Aaron Hernandez’s imprisonment, is being held on $500,000 bail until another hearing next week.

He’s one of two friends prosecutors allege helped Hernandez with the murder of Odin Lloyd. The other, Carlos Ortiz, faces a firearm charge, a lesser crime that has some speculating that he’s helping prosecutors. If that’s the case, Hernandez has to be hopeful that Wallace doesn’t turn similarly cooperative.

Wallace will have another bail hearing on Thursday, and for now, the District Attorney is teasing us with the prospect of another glimpse into the case they’re building:

District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter told reporters outside court that prosecutors will likely have to disclose more of the evidence against Wallace at next week’s hearing to keep bail at $500,000.

“I think it is a very safe assumption that during the bail hearing you will learn about matters that you are not aware of right now,” Sutter said.

Something to watch out for.
