A Red Sox Fan Proposed to His Girlfriend During the World Series

Guess what she said?

Pete Smith is excited that his two friends got engaged at the World Series. So excited, in fact, that he captured the whole thing on video, and then  posted it to YouTube.

Smith’s friend “Alex,” wanted to make a “really special day” at Fenway Park even more special by asking his girlfriend to marry him.

While on Yawkey Way Wednesday night, in the thick of the bustling crowd moving about outside the park, Alex got down on one knee, completely surprising his girlfriend, and asked for her hand in marriage.

Alex said it was “totally appropriate” to propose at the game because the couple’s first date was at Fenway Park five years ago.

Following Alex’s speech, and his girlfriend’s sobs of happiness, she said “yes,” to which the mobs of people behind the couple started to cheer.

And in true Red Sox fashion, she then gave a shout out to her home team.

“Go Sox!”
