Jenny Dell and Will Middlebrooks Are Engaged

Jenny Dell is engaged, and it looks like Will Middlebrooks totally put a ring on it.

The former Red Sox sideline reporter, who’s been dating Red Sox player Will Middlebrooks since January, posted a photo via Instagram on Monday night of her shiny new diamond ring. She then tweeted a video of her surprise engagement party just moments after.

Dell also tweeted a photo of herself posing with Middlebrooks, caption reading, “Best night of my life.”

It’s been a short, yet action-packed journey for Dell and Middlebrooks this year. Drama unfolded in January when Dell went public with her relationship with Middlebrooks on News Year’s Eve. Later that month, Dell was removed from the Sox sidelines and into NESN’s studio at Sports Today. Dell and NESN announced they were parting ways with their (professional) relationship back in May.

While Boston and other outlets called out the reporter on her conflict of interest while covering the Red Sox, neither Dell nor NESN confirmed whether her departure from the network had a connection to her romance with Middlebrooks. But then, in another twist of events, Dell announced last month that she’s joining CBS as a new NFL sideline reporter.

So Dell has a hefty diamond ring, a pro athlete fiancé, and a kick-ass new job. Looks like she’s doing something right.
