Hot take, Schil.

When asked who won Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential debate, a 48-year-old man responded, “ISIS.”

That man isn’t your estranged uncle flinging emails with JPEGs of Breitbart articles and subject lines like “FW: FW: FW: FW: Wow” into the abyss from some canned pinto bean-lined doomsday shelter. No, that’s World Series champion and ESPN baseball analyst Curt Schilling, who even after a lengthy suspension for his online activity—that is, comparing radical Muslims to Nazis—took to Twitter to weigh in on the debate between two frontrunners, two former governors lost on their way to a book tour, and Jim “Cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads on our tanks” Webb.

Even better, it was Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump who posed the question.

Late last month, when Deadspin asked if ESPN had anything to say about Schilling still posting political memes while serving his suspension, an exasperated flack told Deadspin, “Nope.”
