UberPOOL Is Expanding into Greater Boston
And slashing prices in half for the month of January.

In an effort to reach the frugal commuters of the city, ride-hailing company Uber has expanded its carpooling service UberPOOL into the Greater Boston area.
UberPOOL, which lets passengers ride along with others headed in a similar direction for a cheaper fare, is now available in East Boston, Everett, Malden, Mattapan, Medford, Quincy, Revere, Roslindale, and Winthrop. UberPOOL services first launched in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brighton, Allston, Brookline, Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, and Dorchester this August.
In separate promotion for the month of January, UberPOOL ride fares will be half off UberX prices during high-demand hours. More information about the promotion is available here.
