Boston Hit with More Early Spring Snow

If the seasons could make up their minds, that'd be great.

Boston has received another smattering of spring snow, with showers expected to continue into Monday evening.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for most of southern New England until 8 p.m., with accumulations of 3-6 inches expected. The snow should taper off before 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service says the snow could make a mess of the morning commute, reducing visibility to a mile or less in some areas. Though the impact on the roads will lessen in the afternoon with some warming, cold air later on could refreeze some untreated roadways, creating “significant threat” for the evening commute.

Boston Public Schools are open Monday. Trash collection in Boston began one hour earlier, while all overnight street cleaning is canceled.
