Police: Man Wielded Computer Keyboard in South Shore Plaza Melee
Braintree police responded a brawl at the South Shore Plaza Sunday evening, in which one man allegedly bashed another with a computer keyboard.
Police arrived at one of the mall’s stores around 5:50 p.m. after receiving a report of two men fighting inside. A third man joined the fray, police said, knocking over clothing and shelves. One of the three allegedly used a computer keyboard and other items to assault another before police chased them out of the mall.
The three men ran crossed Granite Street to South Shore Place, where another fight broke out and gunshots were reported. A K-9 team later found the handgun believed to have been used by the shooter tossed in a small wooded area near the highway, WCVB reports.
Police said the man believed to be on the receiving end of the keyboard warrior’s attack was found in one of the Shore Shore Plaza’s parking lots and taken to a local hospital. The man believed to be the aggressor was stopped by state troopers on Adams Street in Milton and taken to a Boston hospital.
No arrests have been made, according to police.
