A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of the NFL, reinstating New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game suspension for his alleged role in Deflategate.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals delivered its decision Monday, siding with the league over the players’ association. The news is sure to dredge up tired arguments over Brady’s role in the alleged deflation of game balls prior to the AFC Championship Game in January 2015.

Manhattan Judge Richard M. Berman ruled in favor of Brady in September, nullifying the suspension. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced shortly after that it would appeal the decision. Brady, meanwhile, set off on a scorched-earth campaign, recording a career year as the Pats leapt to a 10-0 start.
