Police in Worcester are said to have found a man crouching behind two suitcases filled with marijuana this week.

At 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, police responded to reports of a suspicious man. According to the Telegram & Gazette, Mark Gentile was allegedly found in a wooded area beside Route 20 with 51 pounds of marijuana in the suitcases. A Worcester Police Department release indicates one of the suitcases was open, and Gentile was manipulating its contents.

Gentile informed the police the suitcases were not his. The Telegram reports that when he was searched, “several small pieces of marijuana fall out of his pockets and onto Route 20.”

Gentile was charged with drug trafficking, trespassing, and disturbing the peace, and posted $400 bail overnight. His case will continue in June.
