A Fourth of July celebration in Plymouth ended in a fiery mishap on Monday night.
According to the Boston Globe, a barge containing fireworks for the festivities caught fire, causing the pyrotechnics to go off at once for an explosive ending. A second barge also caught fire, however, no one was hurt in either incident.
Officials believe that a malfunction may be behind the fires, but an exact cause has yet to be determined as police continue to investigate the matter.
Onlookers who attended Monday’s event took to social media to post their videos of the fireworks and barge fires.

Prior to the incidents, the fireworks display seemed to go off without a hitch.
However, this photo on Instagram pretty much sums up how the celebration ended.
