Retirement's going well.

Kevin Garnett quietly retired late last year, ending his 21-year NBA career in Minnesota, where it began. The 40-year-old captured his sole NBA Championship as a member of the Celtics in 2008, and nearly added another two years later.

The folks at NBA on TNT, including fellow former Celtics big man Shaquille O’Neal, got tattoos live on-air during halftime of Thursday night’s Golden State Warriors game, for some reason. Garnett got the Larry O’Brien Trophy. On his neck. And there’s a decent chance it was only to spite a ringless Charles Barkley.

“I think this is 11 for me,” Garnett said. “Hey look, Chuck, I’m getting a championship trophy on my neck.”

It was a big night for KG, who dropped an F-bomb in the middle of a bit.

What are the chances we can get him on Comcast? And better yet, when’s Tommy Heinsohn getting his neck tattoo?
