Noble and Greenough School is a co-ed day and five-day boarding school located in Dedham, Massachusetts. At the core of a Nobles education is their unequaled academic program. Nobles brings together teachers who are passionate about their subjects—and even more passionate about working with young people. Likewise, the students who choose Nobles are exceptional.
They are academically talented, creative, hard-working, and curious. They live lives marked by strong character and service to others. Relationships between students and faculty underpin the Nobles experience. Each student is surrounded by adults who know them well—who teach them in class and also coach them on the field, who serve as their advisors and also direct them in theater productions. Nobles faculty push students to be their best, supporting them when they struggle and cheering their successes.

Our teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop critical-thinking skills. Students graduate from Nobles with an impressive knowledge of subject matter, of course —they also learn the art of analysis; how to solve complex problems; and how to lead, follow and collaborate. Working with teachers they know well and trust, Nobles students learn the importance of patience, process, and persistence as they pursue academic and other achievements.
Noble and Greenough School is a rigorous academic community dedicated to inspiring leadership for the public good. Through mentoring relationships, we motivate students to achieve their highest potential and to lead lives characterized by service to others.
