The Chestnut Hill School is an independent, co-educational elementary school, enrolling children at age 3 (Beginners) through grade 6. At The Chestnut Hill School, our mission to educate children is deeply rooted in a commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and community. As leaders in early childhood and elementary education we believe these three pillars are interconnected and allow a diverse community of intellectually curious, culturally competent, strongly skilled, self-empowered individuals to flourish. The result is confident young leaders prepared and ready to engage in the fullest at the next level of their educational journey. With financial aid and transportation available, students come from over 30 communities in the Boston area. We offer full-day early childhood programs and extended-day enrichment programs for all students (up to 6pm). In addition, our own Chestnut Hill Music School and Summer Camp provide opportunities for students to learn new skills. Join us at our Open House Sunday, November 4th 1:00-3:00pm.

The Chestnut Hill School educates students in a diverse, inclusive, and nurturing community where learning is infused with meaning, purpose, and joy. We offer a rigorous, multi-dimensional curriculum that develops the whole child and provides a range of opportunities for students to engage in active learning. We believe students do their best both when they feel a sense of belonging and when they develop close personal relationships with adults and peers. We recognize the importance of family involvement in a child’s education and value a cooperative home/school partnership. In pursuing academic excellence, we support the growth of competent, caring, well-rounded students.
At The Chestnut Hill School, our mission to educate children is deeply rooted in a commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and community.
Through a thoughtfully balanced program that nurtures the whole child, we engage, challenge, and support children as they develop the skills and confidence to achieve educational success. As we intentionally build a diverse school community, we value, respect, and educate ourselves about its resulting gifts and complexities. We foster the growth of our students as responsible, contributing community members who stand up for their beliefs, express their thoughts, and care about the rights and feelings of others.
