Let's Shop: Mohr and McPherson

What's new in globetrotter Kevin McPherson's bag of tricks?

Mohr and McPherson is celebrating their 21st year in business and if you haven’t seen them since they closed their Cambridge locations and moved to the SOWA district of Boston five years ago, it may be time for a reintroduction. Their loft-like rug gallery and showroom boasts a café downstairs and they now have an impressive selection of specialty jewelry, garden accents, contemporary textiles, and smaller scale pieces. Of course this is where you’ll also find a beautifully curated mix of Asian artifacts and antiques hand-selected by Kevin on his many yearly shopping trips to exotic locales. Above: We love this British Flag trunk bench, covered in a traditional kilim ($750), which could easily have been taken directly from this British style room .

Above: One-of-a-kind Indian pieces, Asian antiques, and Japanese accessories.

Above: A series of iron mortar and pestles ($295) look fabulous on rough wooden plinths.

Above: Cotton Kantha Stitch Scarfs ($48).

Store Manager, Karole Moe, holds oversize zig zag patterned cotton woven pillows. $95 each.

And go to their website to tour the rug gallery and see a bazaar of beautiful handmade Turkish and Moroccan pattern rugs.
