The SMFA Boston Hosts Its Annual Art Sale

Visit the School of the Museum of Fine Arts for an exhibit-style art sale by local students.

As one of only two art schools in the country affiliated with a major museum, it’s fitting that the School of the Museum of Fine Arts would hold an exhibit-style art sale to benefit their students and programs alike.

Today through Sunday, November 23, visit the sale to purchase work by a range of the SMFA’s emerging and established artists, including students, alumni, and faculty.

Throughout the sale, artwork will be on display throughout the first floor of SMFA, including paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, photographs, and digital videos. A pop-up jewelry shop will be located in the Barbara and Steven Grossman Gallery. Under the direction of SMFA Curator Joanna Soltan, the pieces displayed for sale rotate on a daily basis.

All works are priced by individual artists and profits are split 50/50 between the artists and the school. The art sale is the school’s largest fundraiser, and it goes a long way in supporting scholarships and resources.

Shop Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, November 22, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday November 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free.
