When home entryways are without closets, it’s likely that favorite chairs and counter stools bare the burden of storing outdoor layers for the fall and winter seasons—which in Boston, is a long enough time to come up with a smarter solution.
The addition of a coat rack can keep garments within arm’s reach and offer additional space for holiday season houseguests. Coat racks are strong enough to stand heavy layering and will allow time for outdoor gear to dry, if needed.
Put coat racks to work in empty corners to avoid clutter and make the most of your space. A bold color or different shape could add interest, so coordinating perfectly with existing decor is not essential.
