Loved for the ever-present whimsical elegance of her ready-to-wear and bridal collections, fashion designer Lela Rose is also a passionate and popular hostess.

From backyard picnics to elegant sit-down dinners, Rose has gained a following as one who values a carefully-thought-out theme and takes a creative approach in the name of all things fun.

With her new entertaining book, Prêt-à-Party, released this fall, Rose will visit the Boston Design Center this month to discuss ideas and share her approach to unforgettable occasions.

Inspiring parties we hope she’ll bring up include a summer kick-off progressive dinner with gingham, Texas fried chicken, and pickle back shots for the brave, a recent couples cook-off potluck with prizes, and an elegant silver-and-white Christmas dinner.

Visitors are welcome to join in the 5th floor seminar room for Rose’s presentation on November 12th at 11 a.m. A book signing and reception at Christopher Peacock, Suite 633, will take place following the talk.

Admission is free to the public. Visit bostondesign.com to RSVP.
