Sure, living small is trendy, but what about those of us who prefer to spread out a bit? Instead of dropping thousands on a tiny house, consider touring some of Boston’s more spacious homes for sale.

Real estate analytics firm NeighborhoodX has hunted down the 10 largest homes for sale in Dorchester. The roomiest properties ranged from 3,555 to 7,200 square feet.

A common theme? All but one of the properties are multi-family buildings. You’ll find duplexes, triple-deckers, and regular old apartment buildings making up most of the list. 27 Richfield Street is the lone single-family home—the four-bedroom asks $580,000. It’s the cheapest home on the list, with prices topping out at $1,600,000. Prices per square foot range from $161 to $340 per square foot.

The largest home of all can be found at 14 Bellevue Street. The impressive 7,200-square-foot manse is a Victorian in Uphams Corner comprising seven units. A few of the other largest homes have additional lots of land that present development potential.
