Chestnut Hill is already home to one future Hall of Famer in Tom Brady. Soon, it’ll welcome another.

Former Bruins star Jarome Iginla has reportedly purchased a $4.5 million, newly-constructed home in the Brookline neighborhood. The sale was first reported by the Boston Business Journal.

Situated on less than an acre of land overlooking The Country Club of Brookline, the Clyde Street property has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a two-story foyer, and a “large breakfast room, paneled study, and enormous family room,” according to a listing.

Iginla, 39, played just one season in Boston in 2013-14. Though he was a fan favorite, the bruising power forward was not re-signed due to salary cap constraints. This season, he notched nine points in 19 games with the Los Angeles Kings, after he was dealt from the Colorado Avalanche at the trade deadline.

Don’t get your hopes up though, Bruins fans—while Iggy’s unsure he’ll play another season, he did express interest in returning to the Kings. Still, seeing the future Hall of Famer in black and gold again would be awfully nice.
