More than just a place to lay your head, a pillow can add a touch of couture to an otherwise-ordinary piece of furniture. Take this whimsical cushion collection: Created for the Waltham showroom Modern Relik in fabrics that feature handpainting, embroidery, and even feathers, “they’re the jewelry of the room,” says proprietor and interior designer Meg Kimball, whose selection changes seasonally and can be customized to fit your home’s décor. “The accessories are what makes a room so special. When you put out a plumage pillow, people are going to remark on that, for sure.” Our advice: Put your feet up—but don’t lie back—and enjoy.
