Nick Vercollone, the owner of Highline Construction, and his wife, Niki, bought a home in Bedford expecting to flip it, then decided to renovate it for themselves. One of the amenities it lacked? An inviting master closet with sufficient space to store both of their wardrobes, plus show off her shoes and hats.
The couple brought their vision to life by creating a towering wall of shoe shelving as well as custom-built wardrobes with glass double doors. “My husband humored some of my design whims so that I could see everything,” Niki explains. Up above, Nick and his team built 15-inch-tall glass cabinets to store and display his wife’s many fascinators and purses. A marble-topped island with drawers for jewelry storage anchors the space, spotlighted by a Moooi pendant light. The closet’s biggest achievement? “I actually have enough space, too,” Nick says with a laugh. “I think that’s pretty uncommon for a guy.”
