Two years ago, Mila Talibov, owner of the Chinatown home-décor showroom Studio Verticale, was attending Milan design week when she stumbled on an exhibition that would change her life. “When I saw Baxter furniture for the first time, I couldn’t take my eyes off it,” she says. “The beauty of it just struck me.” Unable to walk away, Talibov began a conversation with a representative that would eventually lead her to completely redesign her space to accommodate the family-owned Italian brand, now exclusively available in New England at Studio Verticale. Design devotees can visit the newly reconfigured showroom to peep dozens of products from the high-end collection—including the “Selene” sideboard, crafted in a variety of striking marble and lacquered finishes. One visit might not change your life, but it could certainly alter the look of your home.
