Inspired by his first job as a teenager—hammering “Home for Sale” signs into frozen front yards for suburban agents—Ben Haywood knew right away that he was cut out for the world of real estate. By the age of 20, he had his real estate license and hit the ground running. In 2009, he sold the first resale at the Mandarin Residences in Back Bay for $2.55 million. Since then, Haywood has sold more than $175 million in property and developed a few properties of his own. Haywood’s philosophy is simple. “Be honest and provide the facts,” he says. “I treat my clients the way I would want to be treated.” This year, Haywood is growing his brand by teaming up with Annette Kristiansen. Outside of work, Haywood is a Boston Board member for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an avid golfer, and enjoys spending Summer days in Westport Harbor.

Always meet in person. Simply get to know the person, their interests, and exactly what they're looking for.

What advice would you give a client looking to find a provider in your specialty?

Find someone you can trust.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

Everyday, I get to make my own decisions about how to grow my business

What services are you most excited to offer?

My favorite aspect of real estate is development. I love breaking everything down to $/sf and provide that analysis to my developer/investor clients.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a client?

Tears of joy from a happy Seller! And a referrals are great too.

What makes your business stand apart?

I'm honest, cool, calm and collected. I can relate to renters, buyers, sellers and developers because I am or have been all of the above.

How many years have you been in business?

Since 2006, so 13 years. I was 20 when I got my license

Love golfing and coaching soccer in my free time. I live in South Boston with my wife and dog- you'll find us on the beach every morning. My happy place is: Summer Days in Westport Harbor
