What's your background, education and training?

While Phil has been the #1 Listing Agent in the Seaport District since 2015, his record emanates beyond Fort Point Channel as he has successfully negotiated transactions throughout the city in many premier luxury buildings.

Sarah began honing her business skills at Bentley University where she graduated with a BS in finance and further refined them at Ernst & Young as an International Tax Consultant working with clients around the globe. Today, her clients benefit from her financially astute mindset and thoughtful communication.

For many years, Dinny has been selected as one of Boston’s Top 20 Brokers. Dinny’s background as an art consultant gave her something extra: the vision and creativity needed to assist discriminating buyers who seek the home of their dreams, which is why she was chosen to sell out notable buildings such as The W Residences, The InterContinental Residences and The Atelier.

Michael graduated Cum Laude from The University of New England and holds a B.S.B.A with a concentration in Economics which he has been able to translate into representing a number of investor’s purchasing condos throughout the City of Boston.

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

Each client is different and unique so our process is customized to fit their needs; however, we first start with a sit down or phone consultation with each client to make sure that we fit their needs and vice-versa. From there we create a strategic plan with consideration given to the client’s timing and the current market conditions.

What advice would you give a client looking to find a provider in your specialty?

Buying and selling real estate involves your most valuable asset so it is important to qualify your agent. Spending an hour or so, interviewing agents over the phone and picking their brain in regards to where they do business, what type of business they do and their experience is the most important advice we give clients when we first meet. Regardless of the client choosing to work with us or not after the initial interview, we recommend this because we believe honest communication is one of the most important pieces to the transaction.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

The Burbs to Boston team understands that handling the home buying or selling process is typically one of our client’s largest investments and we enjoy being the one, they rely on for the market knowledge and strategy of handling the investment.

What services are you most excited to offer?

We have created incredible partnerships with agents outside of the city that allow us to provide a smooth transfer in our clients’ relocation from the “burbs to Boston” — so, whether a client is moving from Winchester, Manchester, or Weston, we have found that our trusted partnerships with agents in their current home towns makes for a smooth transition as the communication around each of the transactions is sound. Additionally, since joining Compass, we have had a number of clients take advantage of Compass Concierge which allows us to front cosmetic or staging costs for our selling clients.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a client?

In today’s current market the greatest reactions we find are from our clients whose listing received multiple offers and are able to sell the property north of the asking price or when we find a “deal” for a buyer who has lost out on a number of offers on other properties.

What makes your business stand apart?

Phil and Sarah have created a team where each member is an expert in one of each of the facets of real estate sales, for example; investments, listing properties, buyer representation and new construction sales. This allows the team to service any client with the greatest confidence.

When Phil is not working you can often find him at a golf course, traveling, reading, or hanging out on Gloucester’s Wingaersheek Beach.

Sarah is always up for an adventure — she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Dinny is an avid gardener and art aficionado.

In Michael’s spare time, he enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending weekends on Cape Cod.
