Honored as one of Realtor Magazine's "30 Under 30" nationwide in 2015, Eric has been a licensed real estate professional for over ten years and a Realtor for the majority of that time. Eric's first experience was with a suburban company specializing in investment properties, where he mainly worked with investment clients, rental clients and condominium owners. Seeing an opportunity to branch out his business, Eric obtained his brokers license and opened his own firm after graduating with his B.S. in Marketing & Communications, with minors in Psychology and Finance from Roger Williams University.
Before joining William Raveis, Eric worked independently as a real estate consultant to buyers, sellers, and leasing clients within Boston proper, and before that worked individually for two years with investment property owners to rent and sell their investments while also pursuing his Master's degree from Northeastern University. Since joining Raveis he has consistently been one of the top-producing agents within the Boston offices and is known for the innovative social media marketing he employs to generate new business and market listings.
Eric and his wife, Valerie, are the authors of a popular Boston lifestyle blog that was recognized regionally as "Number One Food/Drink Blog" by Boston's A-List in 2012. Eric is also a Google Local City Expert and is passionate about his work on the Board of Directors with Friends of Boston's Homeless and contributing to the MSPCA. They now live in Jamaica Plain and enjoy the local options for food and drink as well as their monthly wine club within their own condominium building.
Our team is coached from their first day to perform a comprehensive Needs and Lifestyle Analysis with every client. Generally, this process starts with a 15-20 minute phone call or in-person meeting outlining both the basic needs of the client, as well as a conversation about how they plan to use their new home, or what they expect out of the listing and seller process. Clients should then expect to be walked through the transaction process, and through this, we also assess the need for any introduction to vendor partners needed during the buying or selling process. After the initial meeting, clients should expect consistent communication as we guide them through the buying or selling process, as well as a feeling of security and confidence during the entire process.
Be sure when interviewing prospective agents to dig into the information available online. Do they have a great website to showcase your property? Have they sold homes in or around your area, and do they seem proficient in explaining the perks of living in your neighborhood or the neighborhoods you are looking in? Ask questions about great restaurants, public transit, etc. Check out reviews online via Google and websites like Zillow, or on the agent's own website. Finally, be sure to ascertain whether your prospective agent has the resources and support to act as your guide throughout the entire process - what happens if they are away or have conflicting appointments? How fast will they generally respond to emails or calls? These questions will not only help you make a sound decision about your agent but also set realistic expectations for the entire process.
I first realized an interested in real estate during the end of high school, when my family moved and I genuinely enjoyed the process. Over the course of time, I realized that the industry blends two of my interests - business and psychology. I very much enjoy running my own business, but I equally enjoy my daily interactions with my team, our clients, and our partners.
We leverage social media and our robust network of current, past, and future prospective buyers to put our sellers’ homes in front of a targeted population that is most likely to purchase your home. Also, we utilize a team approach to homes, which helps us assure that a qualified buyer will not be put on the back burner because of one agent’s busy schedule. Though you will always work with one point person during your sale, we have the resources to make sure that every prospective buyer gets the attention they deserve. Finally, we treat every listing the same, from professional photography, floor plans, and 3D tours - to high-end marketing collateral, you can be sure your property will be showcased the way it should be.
For our buyer and tenant clients, our comprehensive and thorough approach to understanding our clients' needs and lifestyle helps create a relationship where we are able to guide our clients to the best possible outcomes - they truly become the hero during the journey.
We really pride ourselves not just on getting positive reviews from our clients, or testimonials on our website, but rather on when our clients refer their family, friends, and colleagues our way. Our past clients are our main source of new clients, and from that we've been able to create a community of people that we've worked with who are happy to share their stories with people that know and trust them. Ultimately - we want to be your real estate advisors for life. Even after closing, we will always be available to let you know the market value of your home, provide you updates of what's going on in the community through our blog, and to keep you up to date on market trends.
Eric is the most honest and forthright broker I've worked with, and what impressed me most is his ability to always keep my best interests at heart throughout the entire house hunting process. - KENN & ELISABETH
Eric was invaluable in helping me buy the property which was complicated by my still being in the UK. He found my inspector and worked remotely with me through legal and mortgage challenges and always answered my questions and resolved my concerns. Eric really is one of those realtors that only has your interests in mind and you will not regret working with him. - JOE & SUE
We were very impressed by Eric's thorough marketing approach when he came to the house to meet us. Eric's experience with this very hot market was very useful in managing the quick offer we got on the property. We are very glad we listed our property with Eric. The transaction went smoothly, almost exactly as he had predicted, and he was very deft at managing some complex communications from the sellers' side. - MATT
