What's your background, education and training?

After college I worked in tourism marketing (1989-1991) and then transferred into corporate sales (1991-1993). I started selling real estate in January 1993-present.

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

We meet as soon as possible and discuss their real estate goals. If they are looking to buy, we discuss the buying process, the timeline, pre-approval, legal representation, financing, etc. I arm them with all the important information and refer them to my partners. We usually will head out and view a sampling of properties to get their feet wet. After this process - I have a good feel for the buyer and their wants and needs...I also am able to move ahead more efficiently and effectively in helping them achieve their goals.

If they are looking to sell, I usually will go the property to meet them They show me the property and then we discuss my thoughts, staging ideas, timeline, some general pricing ranges/strategies, the comps and the market temperature. We discuss the timing for listing and the specifics that go along with listing and marketing a property.

What advice would you give a client looking to find a provider in your specialty?

I would recommend they work with an agent who is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and available. Ina highly completive real estate market like Boston, a buyer needs an aggressive agent who is "on it" for them or they will miss out on many buying opportunities. If selling - they need to look for an agent who is driven and willing to go the extra mile to showcase their property and make it sparkle. Again, enthusiasm and knowledge are vital.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

I love the deal. I have always been a motivated, driven persona and I enjoy negotiating and closing the deal.

The I bought my first condo back in 1992 - I fell in love with everything real estate. The architecture and make up of properties, the neighborhoods, the process of offering and moving through the deal, etc. I love working with people and the constant change of the day to day tasks keeps it interesting. I am interested renovation and restoration, historic homes and new builds...I believe in what I sell...I adore Boston and the communities that surround and have lived and sold in many of them. I love dealing with repeat clients. There is nothing like getting a call from a repeat customer who wants to buy or sell a piece of real estate with me as they agent again. Brokerage is much more than just a job, this career has given me a tremendous sense of satisfaction.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a client?

The best reaction is when I get a new referral from a client...that is the highest compliment. In one instance - I have a client who has referred me 6 co-workers - all of whom I have successfully sold homes in 5 different suburban towns...I thoroughly enjoy working with all these people in helping them find the right home.

I have received (33) 5 star review on zillow and several of them blew me away. I have had clients tell folks and put in reviews that they would never buy anything without me involved. I have had sellers write things about the lengths I have gone to preparing their home for sale.

What makes your business stand apart?

I provide a personalized level of service that you will not find often in todays market. Many folks work on teams and have assistants working in the field for them. When you engage me - you get me. I work tirelessly to make it happen for my client. Whether buying for selling - I go to any lengths for them. I am extremely professional, optimistic and easily reached. My clients are my top priority and I do whatever it takes to procure the highest and best price for a seller or the best possible deal for my buyer.
