What is your typical process for working with a new client?

Having common expectations and clear communication is key to a successful relationship and successful transaction. I find that a one-hour up front meeting to establish both is essential. By understanding a client's goals, must-haves, and timelines right up front we can align them with market realities to help clients set realistic expectations for their purchase or sale process. By educating right up front on what buyer or seller can expect to see as to inventory, pricing, and market trends in their specific category; on standard timeframes; on resources they will need along the way; and on financing options we can establish clear expectations and a strategy to move forward. Very often we discuss how (or if) a client can simultaneously buy a new home while selling their current one. There are a lot of moving parts, but easy to set a realistic action plan when its broken down to critical decision points. It’s an action-packed hour! But most times both the client and I walk away from that initial meeting knowing whether there is a “good fit” to work together and exactly what next steps are for each of us. And most importantly clients have comfort in know how the process work and that they will be well represented every step of the way.
