Opening

Chowder walked by the bar a couple of days before the Marathon and got this picture of the handsome space. McGreevy’s will be open for regular business sometime in May.

Brigham’s Ice Cream is coming back to West Roxbury. Sort of. Newcomer iScream says it will sell the classic ice cream in its store.

Chris Douglass of Icarus and Ashmont Grille fame will be opening casual Italian spot Tavolo in Dorchester in July, according to Zagat Buzz. The site also reports that Hyde Park now has Townsend’s, a gastropub with American fare.

The RemDawg is expanding his dining empire. NESN color commentator Jerry Remy plans to open Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar & Grille next spring, according to the Herald.

Closing
Allston’s Dakshin has closed after health code violations hurt business, according to Chowhound.

The Herald reports that La Groceria in Cambridge will close on May 17. While it’s sad to see the decades-old restaurant close its doors, Craigie Street Bistro owner Tony Maws will open a new restaurant in the space this fall.
