You’ve been known to hit the road to hear your favorite musician, so why not pound the pavement to find your favorite chef?

Recently, some of Boston’s culinary movers and shakers have packed up their knives and gone to new kitchens. Elaine Stella, who has sweetened dessert menus at Mooo and The Federalist, is now kneading the dough alongside Mary Dumont at Harvest.

Eric Brennan, formerly of Excelsior, will be loosening his apron strings a bit to cook up classic comfort food at the soon-to-open Post 390.

Marco Suarez, Eastern Standard‘s chef whose savory concoctions rivaled Jackson Cannon‘s liquid brews, has landed at Bon Savor in Jamaica Plain. (Rumor has it that Suarez has spent his summer planning the Bon Savor menus which will include a mix of South American and French flavors, as well as items from Jamaica Plain’s first raw bar.)

While JP wins with Suarez, it has lost neighborhood go-to Zon’s and its chef Clifton Clark. Clark recently made the move to Malden’s Exchange Street Bistro and should be settled sometime in mid-September. Let’s hope his famous mac and cheese makes an appearance there in time for the cooler months.
