This Week's Edible Events
Sunday 8/21 to Saturday 8/27: Waffle Week at Four Seasons Hotel’s Bristol Lounge
We all know there’s an official holiday for everything under the sun, but to highlight National Waffle Day on the August 24, the Four Seasons is hosting a full seven days of devotion to the Belgian favorite. Celebrate any morning this week with unique adaptations by chef Brooke Vosika: some of our favorites include PB&J with banana, red velvet with cream cheese butter, and lemon poppy seed. Pass the syrup, and dig in. ($16; Mon–Fri, 6:30 am–11 am; Sat, 7 am–11 am; Sun, 7 am–1:30 pm; Bristol Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel, 200 Boylston St., Boston. For reservations, call 617-351-2037 or visit fourseasons.com)
Sunday 8/21 to Saturday 8/27: Wine Week on the North Shore
For a week-long celebration of a slightly different nature, head seaside to sample reds and whites from more than 50 local vendors. Dinners, flights, and pairings will abound at this first fest of fine wines. Cheers to that! (various prices and locations; northshorewineweek.com)
Monday 8/22 to Friday 8/26: Restaurant Week Continues

Wednesday 8/24: Salem Pub Crawl at Pickering Wharf
Take in this historic city via beer goggles on a bar marathon guided by cocktail writer Luke O’Neil (author of Boston’s Best Dive Bars). Chow’s on the house at each stop — Finz, Victoria Station, Seaport Café, Capt’s Waterfront and 62 Restaurant — as you sip your way through the taps. (cash bars, but free to participate; Wed, 5 pm–8 pm; 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar, 62 Wharf St. (Pickering Wharf), Salem; 978-744-0062; 62restaurant.com; required RSVP to salempubcrawl@gmail.com)
Sunday 8/28: Pink Carpet at Ocean Club at Marina Bay
You’ll feel great about attending this cause, which designer Sherri Hill has organized to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The party promises gourmet treats (a rumored raw bar and cupcake tower) to accompany a fashion show and silent auction — all in the name of raising funds for breast cancer research. ($35; Sun, 7 pm–10 pm; The Ocean Club at Marina Bay, 333 Victory Rd., Quincy. For tickets, visit eventbrite.com; 617-689-0600; komen.org) — Ursula Munn
