New York's Eleven Madison Park, Chicago's Girl and the Goat to Invade Boston

When Eleven Madison Park, Girl and the Goat shill their cookbooks in Boston, everybody wins.

Great news for those who’ve been dying to try New York’s legendary Eleven Madison Park or Chicago’s buzzy Girl and the Goat: both restaurants have plans to invade Boston for the evening, in order to promote upcoming cookbooks.

Chef Daniel Humm and GM Will Guidara of fine dining destination Eleven Madison Park will be in town on December 3, for a special collaboration with our own fine dining temple, Menton. The event is in honor of the forthcoming release of EMP’s cookbook, and the meal will showcase recipes like citrus-poached John Dory with daikon, chicken with truffles and butternut squash and sweet potato beignets with chocolate.

The EMP meal comes with a hefty price tag — $275, to be exact — but includes a cocktail/hors d’oeuvres hour, wine pairings and gratuity, and a signed copy of the book in addition to seven courses of food. So really, there’s a lot of bang for your buck.

Girl and the Goat, the Chicago-based spot from Top Chef alum Stephanie Izard, will be in town as well on November 6, for a pop-up dinner with local toque Jamie Bissonnette at Mike’s City Diner. $150 gets you beer and wine pairings, along with a signed copy of Izard’s cookbook Girl in the Kitchen.

You can book a reservation for the Girl and the Goat dinner on Gilt City; for a spot at the EMP dinner at Menton, call 617-737-0099 to book a reservation, and check out the full menu below.
