Sel de la Terre-Long Wharf to Launch a Farewell Pop-Up Series

Before the restaurant closes for good, it's welcoming back old alums for a special guest dinner series.

Early last month, we learned that Sel de la Terre’s Long Wharf location would close—to be replaced by a concept from Bill Brodsky, formerly the chef at Cape Cod’s Wequassett Inn. As a grand, extended farewell of sorts, SDLT and L’Espalier staff past and present have joined to offer a guest “pop-up” dinner series, with a different chef taking over the kitchen each week to offer a $65, three-course prix-fixe menu ($35 for wine pairings; a la carte versions are available as well).

Up first is L’Espalier alum Alex Crabb (who, by the way, we are told is working on a new restaurant of his own). Following Crabb will be SDLT vet Daniel Bojorquez, who will offer a preview from his forthcoming East Somerville restaurant La Brasa. Last up is current L’Espalier pastry whiz Jiho Kim, who will show off his savory chops with a French-Korean menu. Depending on timing, there may be a fourth week of the series, an oh-so-trendy noodle bar that’ll be a collaboration from all three chefs.

Below, find a peek of Crabb’s menu, available now until April 10th, plus the rest of the schedule.

SCHEDULE:

April 4-10: Alex Crabb’s Menu

April 11-April 17: Daniel Bojorquez’s La Brasa Preview Menu

April 18-April 24: Jiho Kim’s French-Korean Menu

April 25-31 (time permitting): A Noodle Bar Menu from Alex, Daniel and Jiho
