Flat Black Coffee Company, the Dorchester-based coffee roaster and retailer, has announced via Twitter that it’s opening its sixth location in the new Channel Center on A Street within the next couple weeks.

Boston’s largest independently owned roaster, retailer, and specialty coffee wholesaler opened its first retail location in 2003 in the Lower Mills neighborhood of Dorchester. For its newest concept, Flat Black will be partnering with Freshii Boston, a national chain of “health-casual” food serving salads, brown rice bowls, and burritos. Freshii has one other Boston location on High Street in the Financial District.
