Boston Common Coffee Co., the North End-based independent coffee shop will launch its fourth café and bakery on 101 Canal Street in early July. The new 2,500 square-foot location will be the anchor retail tenant at the luxury condominium building, The Avenir. Boston Common Coffee Co. currently has locations on Salem Street in the North End, Washington Street in Downtown Crossing, and on High Street in the Financial District.

Founded in 2004 by Peter Femino and Anthony Massari, Boston Common Coffee boasts a large selection of varietal coffees roasted daily in their facility in Hopedale. Working with experienced roastmaster, Patrick Maloney, the company has been able to assure a number of high quality sources from around the world. Currently, the company is even testing a K-Cup version of their coffee as an addition to their wholesale side of the operation.

Similar to its hands-on approach to coffee, the company also makes its selection of scones, muffin tops, cookies, brownies, donuts, and sandwiches, all in-house.
