Hopsters, the custom craft brewery and restaurant, has received its commercial brewing license as of June 5, making it the first commercial brewery to be located in the suburb of Newton since the 1600s. The license allows the brewery to not only sell their house-made ales at the Hopsters bar, but also to other restaurants, pubs, and liquor stores through a wholesale distributor.

Growlers will be sold for $4 at the restaurant and can be filled with Hopsters’ in-house ales. They will offer at least three specialty beer styles on tap, all of which will rotate on a weekly basis. On July 11, starting at 7 p.m., Hopsters will celebrate its new brewery license with the introduction of a limited-edition cask-conditioned English Pale Ale to be sold for $1 per pint.
