Caffé Bene, now the world’s second largest coffee franchise, will be opening its first-ever New England location in Boston’s Back Bay near Symphony Hall. Scheduled to debut in July, this will be one of three locations due to open in Boston by the end of 2014.

Launched in Seoul, South Korea, in 2008, the coffeehouse now has a staggering number of outlets in 16 different countries. Caffé Bene set up shop in the U.S. in 2012 and already has 86 locations, most of them in New York and California. Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks might have some serious competition as over 4,000 franchised stores are projected by 2020.

Aside from providing coffee and espresso drinks, Caffé Bene’s menu offers bubble tea, smoothies, frappes, non-alcoholic “mojitos,” gelato, waffles, sandwiches, and something called a Misagaru. The health drink is made with a combination of black beans, barley, brown rice, and black sesame and supposedly “facilitates detoxification, weight loss, and reduces vulnerability to diabetes and heart disease.” Check out their full menu below.
