On July 6, Brass Union in Somerville will be launching its first-ever Sunday brunch service. Executive Chef Jonathan Kopacz’s debut brunch menu will include a selection of omelets, benedicts, and American-style classics such as steak and eggs. At Brass Union, twists on the ubiquitous eggs benny include the additions of chicken confit, a cod cake, and garlicky sautéed greens. Omelets will be stuffed with pesto and brussels sprouts, chorizo and potatoes, or seasonal vegetables.

On the liquid side, beverage director Paulo Pereira will be offering three unique brunch cocktails, including a smoked Bloody Mary, a passion fruit mimosa, and a spicy, ancho-tinged riff on a Paloma.

The news of Brass Union’s brunch service coincides with the opening of their patio last weekend. The outdoor area, located in the heart of Union Square, offers an interactive setting with a wide variety of games such as cornhole and oversized versions of Jenga and Connect Four. Brunch will be served each Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
