The grieving period is officially over, folks.

The Boston Globe’s Kara Baskin reports that Charlie’s Sandwich Shoppe, the iconic South End diner that closed on June 28, will have a second life after all. Evan Deluty, another South End chef who runs Stella, is scheduled to take over the revered spot for the Manjourides family.

Deluty plans to reopen it under the same name in early 2015. He even tells Baskin the breakfast and lunch menu will remain unchanged. I guess it’s difficult to keep a legend (especially when it’s turkey hash) down for too long.
