3 Little Figs Introduces GoodFat Ice Cream

Fans of Somerville’s 3 Little Figs and owner Katie Rooney’s selections of desserts, breakfast sandwiches, and artisan-roasted coffees (Blue Bottle, Tandem), have another reason to get excited. On August 8, the three-year-old bakery will be hosting a pop-up event showcasing their first foray into house-made ice cream.

The event, called “Cookies & Cream (and Coffee!),” will start at 6 p.m. and feature baker Matt Trimble’s new ice cream brand, GoodFat. During its debut, Trimble’s ice cream will be available in two flavors (Very-Vanilla and Hazelnut Chocolate Chip) and will be served as an affogato with Gimme! Piccolo Mondo organic espresso or in an ice cream sandwich with a choice of three types of cookies. GoodFat ice cream is made from high quality ingredients like High Lawn Farm Jersey milk and cream, Madagascar vanilla bean, and organic sugar, and is available exclusively at 3 Little Figs.
